350th CELEBRATION PARADE
June 14, 2009
The Town of Hadley, and the 350th Celebration Parade Committee,
were pleased to have your town and organizations participate in our
Grand Parade Celebration
which was held on Sunday, June 14, 2009
The 1.8 mile parade
began promptly at 1:00 PM, forming near the
junction of Mill
Valley Road and Route 9 (Russell Street), and marched west on Route 9 to the West
Street
Commons where the parade disbanded.
We had an enthusiastic crowd
and great time!
Over 100 units marched: 18 bands (several fife and drum, Hopkins Academy and Holyoke
High,
a military band, floats with music, 26 floats, local police and fire
departments, antique cars
and tractors, the Belchertown Twirlers, Local groups and businesses, the
Shriners and some surprises!
This was the largest parade Hadley ever had!
The theme of the parade
was:
“CELEBRATING OUR PAST — EMBRACING THE
FUTURE”
Here's
who was in the Parade
